The damselfly's body resembles a damsel, not necessarily in
distress though. The damselfly and dragonfly spend the greater
part of their live as nymphs in the freshwater ponds.
The dragonfly is generally larger than the damselfly. At rest,
the dragonfly holds its wings perpendicular to its body while the
damselfly holds its wings upright.
The Yellow Bittern is commonly found at the freshwater pond.
This solitary bird is difficult to spot as it is well-camouflaged
against the vegetation; but can be seen fluttering off suddenly
when disturbed.
