Reflections
Workshop on drawing techniques
Through the workshop, I realized that it is difficult to draw a plant well and you will need a certain skill to do it in order to present a good one. Though it was a little difficult, it was fun and I learnt how to draw the outline of a plant better now.
Workshop on using information to create educational materials
Through the workshop, I learnt that there are many things that I can use to create an educational material. My group came up with various ideas and it was fun to hear and to ride on some of the ideas to create a better one.
The reforestation
The reforestation was a very exciting and fun one. Everyone got into the mud and enjoyed a “mud bath” while doing our part for the environment. It was an unforgettable moment and I treasure it greatly, as not everyone gets a chance to go into the mud of the Reserve. It is certainly one experience that I would never forget.

Workshop on drawing techniques
We learnt to sketch plants by adding effects such as shadows. We were also taught how to sketch special features like the hair on hairy leaves or the small thorns. I spent some time and tried my best to make it look nicer.

We were given a task to create something to educate people who come and learn more about the mangrove forests and plants. We spent some time on learning how to do this.
We decided that games are usually one of the most popular types of educational materials, so we decided to make one. After some brainstorming, we decided to create a game, similar to the ‘Monopoly’ game. We presented the idea and it was very well-received.
