Hillgrove Secondary School officially adopted the Visitor Centre
freshwater pond on 16 November 2002
This is certainly not just another "Adopt-A-Park" partnership between
Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve and Hillgrove Secondary School, but one,
which has opened an excellent opportunity for the students to learn
more about the systemic nature of the relationship between Man and his
environment. This was not just another project that the school had to
do, but one that was undertaken with much fun and enthusiasm and
passion. The school has officially adopted the freshwater pond by the
nature gallery on 16 November 2002. Through this partnership, the
students have come to come to learn much more on aquatic life.
Certainly, we can all agree with much conviction that greater
understanding will engender a love for nature and our natural heritage,
and instill a sense of ownership for the conservation of nature.
