Woodlands Secondary School officially adopted the butterfly trail on 1
November 1999. Through this scheme, not only were the students introduced
to a magnificent world of "winged jewels", but a sense of ownership and
responsibility had been instilled in the process. Through training
programmes and practical hands-on sessions with the maintenance of the
butterfly trail, they have learned much more towards an appreciation of
this the environment and natural heritage through maintenance of the
ecology, which supports the butterflies.
